Organize Affairs
Sorting through a loved one's affairs after their passing, especially while you're still grieving, is emotionally and physically demanding. As a gift to yourself and those who love you, consider organizing your belongings while you are alive and healthy, sparing your loved ones added stress during this challenging time.
Inspired by the concept of "Swedish Death Cleaning" popularized by author Margareta Magnusson, I will not only assist you in eliminating what's no longer useful - I will empower you to organize what truly matters. Specifically, I will help you to:
Create a "When I die" folder: Organize essential documents and compile a directory of both physical and online accounts, including passwords for easy access after your passing.
Clear out what no longer serves you: Prioritize rooms or areas for downsizing, offering a systematic approach to decluttering. I act as a mentor and provide assistance in starting the physical decluttering process.
Organize what matters: After eliminating unnecessary items, I guide you in effectively organizing what remains, applying the organizational tools and decades of experience from my previous life as an project manager.
As part of this service, I'm delighted to offer referrals to estate sale companies and other downsizing options for your belongings or those of a loved one. You will walk away feeling lighter and more at peace, knowing you've bestowed a meaningful gift upon those who will remember you.
